Matcha Tea
What do you get when you take green tea leaves and grind them up? An amazing green drink called matcha! Matcha goes back to 13th century Japan, so it’s been a long time coming that matcha is now a staple in every coffee shop I go to. Here are just some of the benefits of this bright green colored drink: tons of antioxidants, provides more energy than other brewed teas, creates less of that caffeine jitter, increased attention and processing speeds, and it even builds bone strength! Interested in trying matcha in the office? Aramark’s got Mighty Leaf Organic Matcha Singles you can mix up. Matcha good, matcha tea.
Let’s Get Personal
Personalized Diet Based On My DNA
Imagine a diet prescribed for you based on your DNA…sounds crazy, right?! While it might sound far-fetched today, it’s something that is on the horizon as consumers continue to focus on health and wellness. Based on a 2016 Neilson Global Health & Ingredient Sentiment Survey, 70% of the 30,000 folks surveyed across 63 countries said they make diet choices to prevent things like obesity, diabetes, and high cholesterol, to name a few to name a few. In addition, 56% of US Millennials said eating healthy was more important than saving money. This shift in awareness has led to a growing number of people who want to understand and measure what they put into their bodies and ensure the choices they make are right for them. Enter Nestle: they’ve recently launched the Nestle Wellness Ambassador Program, which offers lifestyle changes and supplements using genetic testing and artificial intelligence (AI). Although this new way of looking at nutrition isn’t scientifically proven, this trend isn’t going away anytime soon.
