Let’s Tea
Up
Before we leave January, I wanted to quickly note that Jan 12th was National Hot Tea Day. With this holiday, the Tea Council of the U.S. brought to light some interesting tea facts. Did you know that the tea industry in the U.S. is nearly $13 billion, with no signs of slowing down? With the increased interest in health and wellness, it’s no wonder tea has had such steeping power. Tea is known for brain and heart health benefits and supporting the overall health of folks. And now there’s a new line from Bigelow called Bigelow Benefits, which has snazzy flavors with specific added health benefits like Calm Stomach (Ginger & Peach), Refresh (Turmeric & Chili Matcha Green), and Stay Well (Lemon & Echinacea) to name a few. Bigelow Benefits is specifically designed to support the well-being of its drinkers, so… let’s tea it up!
For The Super Bowl
Snack Time Show
I know that J-Lo and Shakira are this year’s Super Bowl LIV halftime show, but what I’m most concerned about are… the snacks. Yep, that’s right. Why, you ask? Per a poll by Frito-Lay, 9 in 10 Americans say the game just isn’t the same without snacks. The potato chip is clearly a fan fav, followed by tortilla chips. And don’t forget the salsa, since it’s the favorite dip of choice. Super Bowl Sunday is the biggest day of the year for salty snack sales, with sales of $400 million. To get ready for this demand, Frito-Lay starts ramping up production six weeks leading up to the game, making almost 20% of their annual snack production. Also, per SNAC International, Americans eat enough snacks on Super Bowl Sunday to fill 17 Olympic-sized pools. So… are you ready for crunch-time?
