Before We Move On To 2020
Don’t Forget We’re Still in 2019
I cannot believe it… we are a whopping 19 days away from the new year! Wondering which food company was #1 in 2019? According to Food Dive, Chobani was the company of the year. No small feat for a brand that was started in 2007 by Turkish immigrant Hamdi Ulukaya, who popularized the Greek yogurt scene. In 2019, the company continued its pursuit of becoming a modern food company with accelerated innovation. They have expanded into nut butter, oat, and plant based varieties, a product line tailored to kids, and a first food-venture into milks and creamers. Their goal is to make food that’s nutritious, affordable, and tastes great, while never losing sight of the yogurt… never forget about the yogurt!
Thanks For The Snack
But Is It Tasty?
Work Hard. Snack Hard. That’s my motto. Innova Market Insights released a report that gives us a little more insight into U.S. snacking habits. Per this new report, the number of folks consuming salty snacks at lunchtime (23%), dinner (17%), and even breakfast (8%) is on the rise. On top of that, folks opt to pick snacks with some sort of enhanced nutritional value, or as I like to call it functional food. This makes perfect sense why the salty snack industry saw an increase in the launch of nuts and seeds over the past several years. Even with all of this, taste still rules supreme in purchasing decisions. It’s a good thing we have so many snack options, to help us satisfy all of our snack friends out there!
