Meet Mike
We in Refreshment Services are fortunate enough to feature a catalog of equipment that can truly turn a breakroom into a destination. However, these machines are only useful when they are running properly. For the times they aren’t, we trust our outstanding service teams to diagnose the problem and alleviate the headache.
Mike is a Service Manager. A former Marine, Mike leads his award-winning team of Service Technicians by example. “Everything I am now is from the Marine Corps. I have taken those same values, traits, and ‘let’s do the job and do it right’ attitude and brought them here.”
Touting a military background rich in integrity and passion for task, it is not hard to understand how Mike was able to represent the line of business as Service Manager of the Year, a distinction he calls, “the pinnacle of everything I was gunning for because it recognizes my guys as best in the business. They did this, not me.”
Knowing the importance timely service holds on our clients’ satisfaction, it was imperative that I ask Mike what he looks for in an excellent service experience. “Service comes down to dedication and listening. Dedication is that intestinal fortitude you need to give 100% of yourself each day. Listening means you are fixing the client’s problems, even when you already know how to fix the machines. Sometimes the client just needs someone to talk to.”
This week, know that hard work is noticed when you least expect it. Mike’s surprise and appreciation for a platform to share his ideas is why the Beat exists. Continue doing the job and doing it right.
LOOKING AHEAD: The importance of listening even when you already know how to solve the problem is something I have been thinking about all week. What a thought provoking idea…
