Chobani Oat
It’s In Their DNNA!
Our friends at Chobani are making a move into oats with the launch of their “Chobani Oat” line of plant-based coffee creamers and yogurt. These new products align with what Chobani calls their DNNA: products that are delicious, nutritious, natural, and affordable. Chobani Oat does not use the term “oatmilk” to describe its products so as not to confuse folks with dairy milk. As far as fomulation, Chobani is using organic oats that are sun or air dried and they do not use glyphosate as a desiccant. Here’s to your morning daypart getting oatier!
5 Ingredients
Slated to Make an Impact
Even though we’re already into March (which is bonkers!), reports are still coming out about what trends we can expect to see this year. Below are a few ingredients expected to make a big impact.
1.Fonio: The unknown
grain from Africa that’s versatile, sustainable, and has nutritional creds.
2.Collagen: In food and beverages to continue the functional trend.
3.Lupini beans: Already a hit in Europe, just making its way to North America.
4.Peas: To continue to support our plant-based habits.
5.Cacao fruit: A sweet revolution is upon us as folks figure out how to use the
cocoa bean in its entirety (conventional chocolate production throws out 80% of
the fruit).
Be on the lookout for these ingredients as 2020 continues!
Yours Truly,
Tracie T.
